PROJECT PORTFOLIO
Premium Research acts as Project Manager for an ambitious Europe-wide project in which the company also participates as a partner within the consortium. The project started in May, 2023, and will finish in 2027.
eprObes is a project funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe programme with 9.875.071,25€, whose main objective is to prevent obesity throughout life through early identification of risk factors, prognosis, and intervention.
The initiative focuses on identifying risk factors and mechanisms associated with excessive weight gain during critical developmental periods, such as the periconceptional and gestational stages, early childhood, and adolescence.
The project adopts a multidisciplinary, patient-centered approach, including clinical studies at different stages of development, cognitive, mental health, lifestyle, and behavioral analyses, as well as mechanistic research in preclinical models. Through multi-omic studies and comprehensive data analysis assisted by bioinformatics and artificial intelligence technologies, eprObes seeks to define personalised preventive measures and intervention strategies at key developmental milestones to avoid excessive weight gain and metabolic complications throughout life in both sexes.
The eprObes consortium is comprised of 21 organisations from seven different countries, reflecting its collaborative nature and commitment to developing effective obesity prevention strategies.
