MOVING FORWARD

At Premium Research, as members of the consortium of the European project eprObes for obesity prevention, we have actively participated in the development of a series of guides aimed at parents and educators.
These materials are based on the scientific evidence generated from the project’s results to date, as well as on related scientific literature.
The guides are dynamic tools, conceived as “living documents” that will be regularly updated to incorporate new findings.
Each guide is accompanied by a poster that can be downloaded from the project website. The main purpose of these posters is to attract users’ attention and encourage them to download the guides via a QR code; for example, while they are in the waiting room of clinical centres.
The materials are available in several languages.
Guide for Healthy Future Parents
A practical guide for prospective parents (both men and women), focused on establishing healthy habits from the periconceptional period through pregnancy. It provides evidence-based recommendations on nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep and shared responsibility, with the aim of reducing the risk of childhood obesity from the very beginning of life.
Guide – Feeding and Growing from 0 to 24 Months
This guide supports parents and carers in promoting healthy growth, appropriate feeding practices, motor development and emotional bonding during the first two years of life. It includes stage-specific recommendations (0–6 months, 6–12 months, 12–24 months), feeding guidance, examples of weekly menus, and strategies to foster self-regulation and prevent early overweight.
Guide – A Parent’s Guide to Healthy Routines and Emotions
Designed for parents of young children, this guide provides tools to establish stable daily routines and promote emotional wellbeing at home. It explores how structured habits, responsive communication and emotional support help prevent obesity and support mental health in early childhood.
Guide – Feeling Good Being You
A guide aimed at adolescents aged 10 to 16, focusing on self-esteem, body image, emotional regulation and healthy habits. It promotes a positive relationship with food, physical activity, screen use and social interactions, empowering young people to take care of their bodies and minds during a critical stage of development.
